Looks like a transitioning C. cf. cyanopleura, ruby head wrasse, to me.

Thanks TJ @eatbreakfast . i recently added a P. carpenteri without an acclimation box , against my better judgement (and my wife's) and the Rubyhead has been showing aggression towards it. Is this possibly due to it transitioning ? Carpenter has only been in there a week now and was hiding the first 3 days. Do you think this is a typical josting for dominance or will the rubyhead continue to bully it? Rubyhead is easily 4 times bigger than the Carpenter. i wouldn't have figured their to be aggression between the two but i won't pretend to be an expert on this subject.

If the carpenter wrasse is coming out then I wouldn't worry. The rubyhead will always show a degree of dominance, but as long as it isn't relentless, it's nothing to be concerned with.

C. temminkii

Fishmart usually has them correctly listed. Their stock on saltwater is pretty limited, so there isn't much to mess up.
