disclaimer that I'm no expert:
First is Macropharyngodon bipartitus
Second looks like halichoeres cosmetus

This guy came with the tank when I bought it, I think it's a wrasse, but can't ID. He's pretty big, when compared to other wrasses. Any help is greatly appreciated

No, H. melanurus is a different species.
chrysotaenia is a cousin, of a different ocean.

It's P. flavianalis and C. cf. solorensis, not C. solorensis.

I do see P. carpenteri with the coloration on that anal fin.
But agree on cf. solorensis (ruby head).

was told its a long fin fairy, not sure its a C rubeus or rubriventralis. Hes so aggressive, keep flaring with the yellow fin fairy. It also put a hole on the side of my new exquisite. The exquisite is out to QT to recover now.
The flasher below was sold to me as carpenter but it looks more like a yellow fin flasher:

Its flashing in the background next to blue tang. Can anyone confirm? Close up:

Okay, I understand. It's similar to solon and blue head, yet it is another species.

I just hadn't seen it referred to as cf solorensis and wondered if that was preferred, or if it was considered more closely related to solorensis. Thanks.
