Lots of caves and hiding spots. I am considering filling in behind the current structure to have even more coral real estate as well.

So minimalist tanks seem to kind of be in vogue at the moment. I attribute this to most reefers now knowing that you don't need a pound per gallon of live rock in your tank. However, there are some good reasons why some reefers still choose to use a lot of rock in their reef (things like hiding places for fish and coral real estate come to mind). I have seen some great tanks with lots of rock, and I'd love to see those get a good thread with lots of pics so...

Show us your tank with lots of rock! Tell us why you chose to go that route over less rock.

Hello,

My tank is a 240 gallon mixed reef aquarium. It has 200 pounds of rock, and 200 pounds of sand (less now from being stirred up). I am using the current marine pros, 4117 version (nothing like ic pros etc). This is my tank since September after I moved. photos are from my iPhone 8 camera (just normal camera). My rock wall is well thin and thick at all levels. Surprised it has not fallen over lol. All 200 pounds were live rock, and live sand.
