Well since I decided to upgrade yet again. Even without being able to keep a single acro alive. I had to redo my setup. Now that I have a KH director shipping probably within a week or so. I needed a place. And ION director preordered. P4 and doser out from my stand and into a dedicated GHL shelf built to the tank. 18 inches of pure GHL equipment stacked on top of eachother.

I built a cabinet and did not put enough though into it. I have the P4 and KHD in it. I will be putting the IonD in it too once it comes out.

I have one power bar inside the stand. I have pieces that have to be unplugged from time to time plugged in there like my skimmer, skimmer neck cleaner, uv etc.

I have a side compartment in my stand that houses more of my GHL stuff. I have a new power bar that will be replacing this older one and this older one will go into my laundry room to control salt mixing, ATO and AWC.

My touch screen is mounted on the wall next to my tank.

I will be adding 2 more 4 head dosers but im not sure where I am going to put them.

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post. Forgive me if I'm not in the right place.
I'm very new to the marine game, but have brought a P4 and would like to utilize it.
I'm struggling to get my head around what it came be used for.
What are the L and S ports used for ?
It says one of the ports is DCF receiver or auto feeder, do ghl make an auto feeder ?
Sorry if these are stupid questions thinking maybe I shouldn't of brought one as I have no idea what I'm doing

L is more legacy device control. S is 1-10V device control. You are more likely to use the S ports.

GHL has an autofeeder in development, but its release is still a ways out.

It's the opposite :)
L = 2 * 0-10V outputs
S = 4 * analog outputs (For 1 X old analog 4 channels doser or 1 X analog STDL4 powerbar of 4 sockets)

0-10v outputs are only for control not for powering (max 20ma)
For non-GH accessories: https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/products/profilux-accessories/breakout-boxes-adapters/
So if I was to get a BOB could I connect my jabao RW and CP wavemaker to it ?
You said it's for controlling not powering. So would I still need to power the wakemakers from the original controller that came with them and just control the power settings and wave mode from the GHL ?
Again sorry if your all asking yourselves why I even own a P4

Hi there,

Welcome to the GHL club. :)

The P4 Resource Guide is the best starting place to learn the purpose of each port and get info on what the P4 can do.

Yup, they are Trigger Systems containers. Unfortunately, I think that line has been discontinued.

Mitras, Profilux, etc... post 'em up. :)

I'll start!

I just have a single 126g tank so nothing real crazy here.
Just the Profilux 3 and the Doser 2 SA.
And I painted my Profilux white to satisfy my OCD and match the Doser. :p

The new Powerbar 5.1's getting mounted up...

And everything running...

I also have the Profilux Touch mounted around the corner from the tank. :cool:

That's it for now.
I do plan on adding some leak sensors next.
You have a stunning set up! Can you please tell me what kind of cable management rails you used? Also, where can I purchase them? Thank you!
