Is the mat made for the tank? If not, I would get one specifically for that tank.
It is - its glued to the stand top panel.
And the tank itself is completely supported by the top panel.
I guess I am trying to understand the implications if there is a part of the tank that is not "supported" by the leveling mat. I have read on this site of this issue leading to tank failures (see
https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/innovative-marine-tank-disaster.913193/).
But at the same time if the point of the leveling mat is to just smooth out imperfections in the stand top surface that may lead to stress points in the tank bottom, if the just a small corner is not in contact at all would that matter? Can I just put a small piece of leveling mat where the defect is and call it a day?
