Hi guys, as the title suggested, I'd like to ask for your feedback.

I am running a Tunze9001 DC on my AIO sump back chamber. I got it a week ago and seems it did break in.

However, the skimmer seems to produce a good and thick foam while lidless.
If I put the lid on, after a while two things could happen:

- It overflows (less likely)
- The foam production decreases, and the height of the bubbles loses strength (the level is no longer at the top of the cone) and the skimmer goes back to a low "boiling water" instead of producing foam.

The skimmer is set "against the current", which is the recommended setting for the AIO. So, how can I have constant foaming production?

I have no coral or fish. I only have 18 inverts so I think the bioload is not very high. And the tank is 1.5 months old.

Thank you all!

In my case, after the skimmer starts producing skimmate, it stays perfectly for 30 minutes and then it stops and it goes down the cone. Should I just leave it? It will pick up again when it's something to skim?

Keep the lid on the skimmer, you’re all good.
