Deep clean on this tank coming tomorrow.

Scraping the glass, changing out the carbon & topping off aquachar. Refilling the mini oxydator. Fresh filter floss.... A water change o_O

If all goes according to plan, a new inhabitant will be joining on Wednesday to help with the pod infestation.

Post scrub, pre wc. Can't get walls 100% because evidently I have some zoas and some mushrooms attached to the back wall.

Post everything.

Update: most everyone calmed back down and happy except the 2 zoa colonies on the bottom left side of the tank.

2 tiny fish coming for this tank this coming week. Seriously considering an awc system OR a protein skimmer for something this size? Not sure what would work for that though....

Any recommendations there? Definitely the cheaper of the two options. Not to mention, I need to get better at water changes over here lol.

Despite having an ATO set up over here, my salinity climbed to 1.030

I pulled it down a little with the water change today & I'm still turkey basting random spots and letting the ATO fill the void for that. Hoping I'll have it back to 1.026ish come Wednesday. Corals gave zero cares about the elevated salinity.

This tank is looking crystal clear today. New inhabitants should arrive tomorrow. Salinity is almost back where I want it, should be perfect by then. Surprisingly didn't lose many pods in the massive water change from this weekend, it's still infested.

This tank isn't stressing me out right now :)
Little scooter even went after some prepared food this morning, seems to have cleared out all of the pods already. I'll probably get some more for it though.

I have slowly been able to start removing the abandoned frag plugs. Some of them have a little bit of zoa on them still, those ones are getting popped into the micro tanks.

Tank needs another deep clean. I really want to find an awc for this tank but they seem to have disappeared from the market.

Little clown doing well. Eats mysis and black worms for sure.

Scooter eats everything. Cling eats everything.

Added some additional cuc.

Found one :)

Anyway, water mixed for today's water change. About to go do a scrub down. Probably no fresh photos today, but usually looks pristine next day.

AWC system comes tomorrow. I'll spend the evening tonight & tomorrow morning trying to sort out containers & rearranging in this room. Hoping this will help me keep this tank more under control.

I got the duo, which includes top off & is supposed to be smart enough to turn that off during the changes. I'll be moving this tanks ato to the pnw micro.

Water change system showed up today, containers got delayed to tomorrow

I think I'm going to assemble everything after work tomorrow and then put Matt to work helping me design a panel control box type thing for all the pico/micro tank electronics. I think we can even 3D print it because it won't need to be very large.

AWC officially set up last night and tested today. Works as expected, ran it manual to make sure there were no leaks, etc.

Pretty excited to hopefully regain control from the algae that really took over this last week.

Oddly it's just on the walls, sand, and output. Not any rockwork.

3 days of *some* water changing (not sure how much it's pulling to be honest) and the algae already looks brown instead of green, so I'm calling it progress. Tomorrow I'll do some manual pulling. No negative affect on corals so far so I don't think I'm taking too much. Scooter is eating prepared foods, still want to boost that pod population for it though.
