For those running lifereef skimmers that pull air to the Venturi injectors from the lid, do you also introduce fresh air or does it run essentially as an air closed loop? If you do introduce some fresh air, how do you do it please?

I hooked up a CO2 filter on mine. One air hose goes from the Venturi into output hose on the filter, and the other hose that used to connect the skimmer to the Venturi now goes to the input side of the filter.
