I have a RSR 250 with 2 AI prime 16HD (I know they might be a little underpowered for SPS but I am in the learning curve and no plans to keep difficult SPS) and 1 MP40 on the side of the tank, I am controlling the MP40 with an Apex WXM module.

I set up my MP40 to ramp up at the same time the AI start ramping up, then during the day I change flow modes and power, and the ramp down the MP40 with the lights until get to 10% Lagoon overnight with lights off.

Should I increase the flow when lights are out? I know some corals like to feed after sunset. Also running low flow overnight will avoid nutrients and oxygen exchange and hurt them?

Thanks

I go from 50x turn throughout the lighted period to 10x turn during the night.
Otherwise it is difficult for some fish to rest and this leads to stress.
I have not had any oxygen deficiencies which appear to affect the fish.
Of course, that’s just one humble opinion.
