Light falling into the tank

Generally speaking, if a light falls into the water is it done? My prime 16HD splashed down into the tank for a few seconds and only the green led was flashing… is it a pretty sure thing that it’s done?

I've never had this happen but I wouldn't trust it going forward. :)

Probably done. Just a splash killed all but white LED on my 16 a few years back.

EDIT: I would just dry it out and see if your lucky or not. Nothing to loose at this point.

I would for sure try to salvage it if possible. It just depends on if current flowed in a way it shouldn't have and took out any components.

I would disassemble and use contact cleaner and a new toothbrush to clear up any salt that got on circuit boards or components. The contact cleaner will evaporate completely, but you will need some mechanical removal of salt like a tooth brush and paper towel. Contact cleaner again as a final step.

I've repaired a fair amount of circuit boards this way. It all comes down to the damage that happened or didn't happen upon contact. Good luck.
