Any recommendations on a plant light to grow macro? This would be for a main setup not a sump so I prefer no purple lighting. Thanks!!

What size is the tank? I use a jebao 60w light on my 10 gallon macro algae tank, it was $95 brand new last year. I guess the light would work for anything 5-30 gallons

So for a main setup you are referring to like a macro display tank?
Size of tank would help as well.

Any light from 3000k to 14000k works for algae.
Depends on what you like.
Many freshwater lights actually start around 10000k on 100%. Slight blue tint.
6500k can highlight your yellow water.

Oh and what you want it to do? Like full daylight simulation ect.

8 gallon tank but mainly 5.5 usable area. Was going to use what I had but it was heating up too much and the capacitor was making a weird sound so I’m just going to get a decent light to use
