So I got a new tank which came with 2 x Ecotech XR15 - aiming for mixed reef with mostly softies and LPS and fish -

Tank
  • 1200x700x600 (LxWxH)
Will be using AB+ preset

Can’t borrow a par meter as not near any marine shops and they seem expensive to buy online.

Can anyone help??

Thanks!

you can rent them from BRS. Strongly recommend getting one. will save you a lot of pain later. also if you have a deep aquarium then you should definitely measure par at the bottom of the tank if you are planning to put corals over there. PAR also depends on the spectrum that you choose. all blue will produce less par then full blue/red/green/white.
