I have an IM Nuvo 20 and the plan is for a Euphyllia tank. Right now I only have one frogspawn and it was looking good till the acclimation time ended on this new light schedule. I think I had the photo period too long and too intense for the tank size. (I’ll need to see if my LFS has a par meter so I can get some readings).

Ive got a couple questions:

1. What is a good par setting for Euphyllia?
2. Would having low level blues in the morning and evening have much effect on the photo period?

Here’s my new light schedule...please feel free to share your thoughts.

It looks to me like your lights are set pretty low. I wonder if it's getting enough par..

The only thing that changed in my tank was an increase in light power when the 50% acclimation period ran out...and after that the frogspawn stopped extending fully during the day. It’s a 20g tank so it’s only 13” deep. I’m going to check if my LFS has a par meter I can rent.

How many primes and what's your mounting height? I'd be happy to get some par numbers for you tomorrow when lights come on.

I have 1 AI Hydra 32 and it’s:
12” above the water line
22” above the sand bed
All I've got is a bunch of 16hds. Wish I could be of more help. Don't think my measurements would help. Have you checked out brs videos? They seem to test all the lights they carry. I've grown them between 100 and 200 par. Low level blues in morning and evening don't seem to have any effect.

Thank you, I’ll check them out. If I can’t find a local LFS to rent a par meter from I’ll go with the one from BRS.
