Hello everyone I’m back for another question! So I’m stuck between a kessil A80 or a aquaknight LED. My question is which one would I be better off with? I want to grow softies and LPS like candy corns and maybe like Favia and other things. Your thoughts? I’m also open for more suggestions

(I have a digital timer a Geeni so I got the 12 photo period under control for that)

I would definitely go with the kessil
My brother has the aqua knight in is nuvo 10 and the spectrum blend isn't that good. A80 is definitely the safer choice to grow anything.

I have 3x Kessil a80 that I’ve used on various tanks, and it’s just a gorgeous spectrum. 10/10 would recommend provided you’re using it on something 12” of less deep.

I usually go full blue, but Kessil is great in that literally whatever color you tune it to is great for corals. As for intensity, on a 5g tank I think you could do 50%-75%.

I have an a80 on my nuvo 10 with zoas, gsp, acan and euphylia. everything is looking fantastic and im seeing growth on the softies (the lps has only been in there a few weeks.) I run mine at about 30% color and 100% intensity from 9am to 9pm on a simple timer

The tank was set up the first week of March so it's still pretty young
