Lighting for refugium

I just made a sump/refugium and would like to know the lighting schedule that you guys use for the refugium. Do you keep light on 24/7 or do you have it on when tank lights are off?

I have seen umpteen million fuge light threads over the recent past... all about a page or less long. Is there a definitive place/sticky that we can point them toward or is this info really that hard to find here? Not griping... just hoping to streamline this a bit.... Cheers

I have mine come on 1/2 hour before my MH goes out and stays on 1/2 hour after it turns on. I just added another tank to my system so I am going to have to play with my times a little

Plants are photosynthetic by running your fuge light 24/7 it's not gonna help anything althou many do just that.... Just run it in a reverse cycle of the display for best results IMHO.... Hth
