My Tenecor tank is 10 feet long / 26in wide / 28 in tall. Currently I have 7 Kessil 360w Tuna blues and an 8 feet LED bar (Current Loop Orbit) for extra blues . I'm wanting a change. First off, what would you suggest, manufacturer, spacing and quantity? I'm considering the A8SE II blue with maybe a few of my Kessils for shimmer. How many A8SE would you recommend? I would mount them front to back, not lengthwise.
Mixed reef with softees, torches, zoa, gsp, mushrooms, ect, ect. Not many sticks or plates
Thanks

How far away from each end of the tank is your rockwork and corals?

If I had a 10’ tank I would probably leave 8-12” clearance on either side to really help with flow and wave maker/vortech placements would allow to not have such intense powerful flow so close to corals.

Does that make sense? Then that would allow you to also save some $ on lighting and you can do some creative spacing of lights.

My rock work stops about 8 to 10 inches from the tank on either end. *Note, my rock work runs down the center of the tank and never comes closer than 4-5 inches from the acrylic and even that is only in 2 places where my overflows bump out. Ive got the flow dialed in. I do currently have a frag rack hanging on the wall on one end as I've recently shut down my frag tank and a few pieces haven't found a landing spot yet. Right now the kessils on either end are 12" to center from the sides and then the other 5 are evenly spaced between.

Man…I wish I had a 10’ tank. So many possibilities with it. You are wanting the light change for what main reasons? Spectrum/intensity? Not getting enough par or growth? Or the look over the tank?

How long have you had the tank running? Just curious.

Idk a lot about the lights you are looking at but they are similar to some radions right?

If wanting more intensity then are you planning on redoing any aquascaping/moving corals?

Based on the information at hand I think i would break it down into this concept-

What would be the ideal lighting setup for the tank your depth/height if it were only 36” in length? Then I would do that setup x 3 which would leave you 6” on either end that has some slight light falloff, but not bad and wouldn’t really be noticeable given your rock placements relative to the tank edges.
