As others have mentioned, its a complicated question. Features, how you plan on mounting or hanging the light, what visual preferences you have (i.e. actinic lazer tag blue, daylight, in between, etc.), your budget, what you plan on keeping (including the types of corals or anemones if you are not doing a fish only tank).

Its sort of like asking what is the best car for driving without giving any other details of what you want out of the car. The question can get very complicated, and providing as much information as you can about what you'd like will help people answer the questions.

I have 2 Orphek V4 Gen2 compacts if you're interested. I was keeping them in hopes of building another reef but now more importantly I'm trying not to lose my car. Personally, I had a great experience with them they were fantastic I had Kessil's beforehand and they were no comparison in color or coral growth!
