As I am getting a new reef tank I am looking for advice about which light I should use.

I am a beginner in reefing. I have experience with freshwater (discus) but now decided to build my own reef tank.
The dimensions of my display tank are 24x24 inch and 21inch height. There is another 18 gallon available in the sump.

I am going to start with soft carols but as the tank is running and I am getting more experience in saltwater I want to expand with LPS and maybe later SPS.

A search on the internet showed these lighting options. Which one do you guys recommend? Other suggestions are welcome as well. I live in Europe.

- Noopsyche K7 pro V3 - 140W
- Smatfarm aquarium light - 95W
- Nicrew Reeflight 100W or 150W

Thanks

DO YOU USE A PAR METER WHEN PLACING NEW CORAL IN YOUR TANK?

  • Yes! I think it's important for the longterm health/growth of my coral.
