I have a million questions on lights but I’ll start here…

What lights can be ran inside of a canopy about 6” or less from the water?

I have a 40 breeder and right now I have two 46 watt 36” fluval 3.0 marine lights. I like the app and the lights. In fact I’m thinking about getting another to add a little more blue during mid day. These lights have a LOT of white. I can find a used one for $100. I’m not looking to spend a lot.

I “think” I need more par but I have nothing to base that off of since I don’t have a par meter. My zoas (on the sand) look like they’re stretching a bit though.

The tank has been up a couple months or so and I’ve put some lps and soft coral into it within the past couple weeks. I’d like to try some lower light “easy” sps just to have something with a different look.

I know the AI blades would work but I’ve never seen them in person. I also don’t know if the “grow” or the “glow” would be better for me.

I also thought about just getting a cheap blue Amazon strip light to kick on mid day.

Just curious what options I have for the canopy.

Here’s a pic of what I’m working with.
