Hello
I have a nancube
Except pulsing xenia , and something else (not sure what it is)
I have problems to.grow corals, even those photosynthetic like zoin

I was wondering if I remove the top and factory installed lights and install 1 redsea light, will that be a better option to grow those corals?
I called my lfs, they told me.thay the issue is with my nano cube, corals are stressed in the small tank , I don't think so .

I saw very small tanks with tons of corals in it

Corals can definitely thrive in small tanks (duh) What is the current light? I'm know Steve's leds fit nicely in biocube lids, maybe in your nanocube too?

What all do you have in your tank? Fish?coral? Inverts? How is everything doing?

Xenia is a pretty easy coral to keep as long as your water is inhabitable. Have you tested your water? Results? Also you'll need a decent light. Do you use an rodi system?

Let see some pictures of everything.

I have few snails , hermit crabs
1 blue tang , 2 clowns , 1 cleaned shrimp.
I have some PH issues it is like 7.9 7.7
Rest parameters states in normal range. The tank is in my office so there is a lot of light from outside
Corals pictures attached, sorry for bad quality

Those frags are knew, they are on the sand. Because I am thinking to get 350 reefer, no sure yet

It looks like they're all alive so that's good! The corals will tell you if they need more light (they will stretch towards the light). What is the current light on your nanocube?

Just a side note and then I'll leave it alone. Your blue tang will not do well in that small tank. It sounds like your lfs isn't very good (since they sold you a blue tang for your nanocube and told you that corals won't grow in a small tank)

Appreciate your help.
The blue tang I got was super small, and I planned to get RedSea, I am very close to pull the rigger on 350
the blue tang one day ( last year) got super sick, itch , he was barely breaching , I put a lot of effort, quarantined that fish, was adding some coper stuff and it is good now.
I am well aware of your advice.

The photo ending 240 ( it is not growing) I dont know why
photo 222, it has been close for months.

I was under impression that those polyps will grown fast;)

Thank you

ohh, the light I keep is 6 to 7 hours, to keep the allege down .
It is nothing special, whatever came with the nanocube., that is why I was thinking to get the redsea light and install instead of the traditional nanocube light

Ya I don't think the lighting is sufficient for corals. I know they used to use weak cfl bulbs. Not sure if they're led now but I'm sure it still wouldn't be bright enough. Time for a lighting upgrade!
