Lilly pads in a fish tank?

So i was looking at my sand bed and saw what looked exactly like a lilly pad coming out of the sand! What really is it? pics too come.

Is it really tiny? Acetabularia (mermaid's wine glass) looks like a small lilly pad.

Yes its very small! Is that a macro algea? good or bad?

Yes. Harmless macroalgae. I've never really seen a tank get infested with it or anything.

Ok so they feed off of nitrates like cheato? i guess ill just let it be
