Little help with Id

Looking to id this coral that I thought was a Montipora.

Aberrant echinopora. I've seen this coral before.


Pagoda cups generally come in green or gray and have polyps that look like mini duncans. Also, it's Duncanopsammia peltata, not Turbinaria.
Thanks for the correction! I thought i saw a hollywood stunner under those polyps! Very cool to see an echinopora with long frilly polyps as i never have seen that before. I would assume thats where it gets the name aberrant from....

Also, those two names are synonymous.

Those names being synonymous does not mean that they both can be used interchangeably. One of the names is the accepted combination, while the other is an unaccepted combination. If you look at the WoRMS link in my previous comment, you will see that Turbinaria peltata is the unaccepted combination.
