I need to get a new piece of live rock and I was going to dip it in Coral Rx. Can I use FW(RODI) with coral rx to dip the rock? I don't want to take water out of my tank to fill a 5g bucket.

I would never, ever use a coral dip on live rock. Coral dips are for corals. Realize any residual in the rock will kill inverts.

The rock would be dipped after in a fresh batch of RODI…I understand your point about killing inverts. I am just trying to get rid of any potential unwanted guests.

You dip in freshwater, that's now called dead rock. Why not do no dip and let it dry out.....that will kill anything that's on there without the possibility of coral dip within the rock.

You'll kill everything you want on the LR and plus whatever you put in aquarium afterwards:(
