Can’t believe the box fee. If you want to charge a box fee when you meet the free shipping threshold, I’d be ok. It’s hard to pay $40 shipping when you don’t spend $150 or have $150+taxes+box fee to drop at one time. There is a coral or 2 I’d love but I can’t double the price of it to cover shipping.

Pretty disappointing what has happened to them in just the last few months. I used to check the DD updates daily. I even had my alarm set to go off at 5:59 every day to be ready for a quick purchase. Now I don’t even look anymore.

I wanted to buy a $79.99 coral, but they charge 29.99 shipping, $9.99 box fee, and tax you on shipping and the box fee. My order came out to $117.?? For an $80 coral. Couldn’t believe I was getting taxed on shipping and the box fee. I love their products and they always have arrived healthy from DD, but I’m considering just going cheap and setting my quarantine system back up. My LFS is like going to Petco so I’ve tried to find a good online dealer with healthy livestock.

I don't even get how they come up with their prices any more. Things have double and tripled in price the last couple of months. Even then it seems like it's whatever their whim is.

So in 24hrs the almost exact same fish is now $50 more. The cheaper one even has longer streamers and looks nicer IMO.

I was shocked about the tax on shipping and box fees. I don't ever remember being charged for these by other retailers like Amazon. So I went and looked it up. Those taxes are only required in some states. They do have to charge tax on all products since Petco owns them and Petco has stores in every state.

I removed myself from the DD update emails I have been checking for years. I can buy fish fully QT and eating... probably cheaper at this point....

This is good news for LFS at least.

Yeah just be aware that the divers den is not what it used to be. It states now that the fish have been observed for 2 weeks or so. If they look good they sell them. Had some local friends get some fish from divers den thinking they were treated and wiped out fish in their display.

Their prices for Divers Den White Tail Bristle Tooth's are INSANE! $299? Really? 2 separate LFS's had them for around $150. Ridiculous!

Where does it say this? Their website still list the same quarantine procedures as before.
