What state or country do you live in
Florida
Well. I have ordered a number of fish and coral from liveaquaria. It's been good so far.

However, one of my recent order is really disappointed. I ordered two Red Sea Two banded clownfish on 7/16 and they arrived on 7/17.

Everything looked good at the beginning until the second day(7/18) I noticed one of them has deformed eyes. It has one eye bulged out, which is obviously larger than the other one. You cannot tell that by looking at it from the side. Only can you see the deformed eye when it is facing right in front of you.

Well, it is eating and swimming well. However, it is a fish with birth defect that should be culled at the first place. It is not supposed to sell to customers.

I called them. They said it is still alive and they would only refund half of credits to me.
Their quality and service are declining.

In the past did you report a similar problem with a birth defect and they gave you full credit? My question is has the service actually decreased? I have never had this an issue of a birth defect on a fish reported to them.
It's not about the refund or reported issue. They are not supposed to send the defect fish to any customer.

The injury or defect could be from shipping which is the unexpected and I've seen it several times from multiple vendors. LA normally takes care of their customers. They would normally give you the option to receive a credit or partial refund with the fish still alive or they may ask you wait until the 14-15 day mark then call back to see what they can do to meet your expectations.
They did partial refund.

However, my point is the defect fish should not be sent out at the first place to any customer.

By all means, I am not an expert at saltwater, but I know it is not from shipping damage. I do have kept fresh water discus and Altum angelfish for 5-6 years. I received thousands of dollars of discus from Hans discus and Kenny discus. I never received singe one with birth defect. I know how shipping damage looks like.

The shipping damage could happen. Sometimes it just happens. We all understand that.

Sending out the defect fish is another story. It just shows that you are doing a sloppy work.

You said you are not a fish expert, so how are you so positively sure it was not from shipping or him injuring himself?
Eating well. swimming well. no scratch. no open wounds.

+1 agree with this. I've seen it several times with Anthias and Wrasses. Eyes and swim bladders.
I don't want to argue this anymore. I am in Florida. ORA fish is shipped out in Florida. No airplane or whatsoever. An injured fish couldn't eat and swim actively.

I just want to make a point that they made a mistake of sending out the defect fish this time even though they did perfect so many times before.

Understood and not trying to create an argument here. Most or all of LA fish are shipped from California or Wisconsin. Did LA confirm the fish was shipped from Florida? I've had plenty of injured fish that eat and swim irregular. FYI Pics might help your cause. Especially with LA.
If you go to their website, ORA fish ships from Florida.
You can try to take a pic of two banded clownfish facing straight to you if you have ever kept them.

By the way, it's eating aggressively and swimming actively. not "IRREGULAR"

Two videos. You can tell it's not a bacterial infected fish.

Just a gentle reminder, as I'm sure everyone is trying to assist - the rules for the Vendor Feedback forum are a bit different from the rest of Reef2Reef:

"Negative Feedback Threads:

Outside comments are NOT permitted. The reason for this is to allow the vendor and member work through the negative experience. The staff will remove posts by other parties not pertaining to the transaction. The only exception to this is that users may post links (without commentary) to their own feedback threads with the same seller/buyer. These are the only outside party comments that are allowed."

Only Wencui Yang and representatives of LiveAquaria should be posting in this thread, except as outlined above.
