As you know all court proceedings are public information in USA, All you have to do is dig the information.

@BeanAnimal
I am not that good with legal lingo. but if I am reading this document properly, It means courts have given liveaquaria free pass to sell the livestock without having to pay debtors?

I am not a layer either -- but I do occasionally sleep at Holiday Inn's.

That is not a court order. I think it is a status document or motion outlining the Trustee's request to abandon property (sell it outside of the liens) form the other creditors.

So - basically: "Your Honor, we owe these creditors money, and the fish are part of our assets. Keeping them is costing more than they’re worth. One secured creditor has agreed to let us abandon or sell the inventory outside the lien structure and we’re trying to get the others to agree. If they don’t, we’ll need court approval to proceed."

Judge: "Let's talk about it on November 12th"

So they’re asking to be allowed to dispose of the inventory and remove its value from the books. The longer they keep it and try to sell it through retail, the greater the losses become. That prevents them paying creditors’ claims. So the "abandonment" request is not seeking to destroy the inventory, but to sell or give it away for whatever they can recover to stop the financial drain, but the creditors and/or the judge need to agree.

The ReefBuilders article is clickbait garbage -- one more "trusted" source happy to promote the possibility that they asked permission to kill the fish or let them rot. So much for Raj spending countless hours researching the details.

I have no idea what the rest of the "truth" is or their status is, but the narrative being passed around regarding "abandonment" is ridiculous.

Love how direct you are. No wondering what you are thinking on the matter :)

An email LiveAquaria sent yesterday:

Setting the Record Straight
There have been several rumors circulating on social media regarding LiveAquaria. Some contain partial truths, while others are inaccurate. We want to take a moment to provide clarity and ensure our customers have the correct information.
LiveAquaria remains in business and continues to ship orders daily. We are currently in a period of reorganization with the goal of offering greater variety, improved value, and a more streamlined customer experience.
Our 25-year-old website has experienced technical challenges, and we are actively addressing them. A complete website redesign has been in development and will be launched soon.
It is true that a sister company, which served as one of our many suppliers, is winding down operations. This decision is tied to changes in their core business partnerships and does not impact LiveAquaria's operations.
We have made the difficult decision to sell our physical location in Wisconsin. This move will allow us to better align the financial foundation of the business and ultimately enhance the service we provide.
For many years, the majority of our livestock has shipped from California, the gateway to Asia and the Indo-Pacific—regions where much of our livestock originates. Centralizing shipping on the West Coast reduces touchpoints, minimizes stress on animals, improves availability, and helps control costs for our customers.
All livestock will continue to receive proper and responsible care as it is transitioned to our West Coast facility.
All orders, terms, conditions, and guarantees remain fully honored. If you have questions about an existing order or any customer service matter, please contact us by email. We recognize that customer service response times have been impacted during this transition, and we are committed to restoring the level of service you expect and deserve.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, loyalty, and trust. We look forward to continuing to serve your live aquatic needs long into the future.
The LiveAquaria Team

Which is interesting because they still have not responded to the 2 emails I sent asking about my order, nor have they shipped that order.
