Help! I’m not sure if this lobo is dying or if this is normal. It still has decent color under blues but the inside/mouth looks worse. Is this normal? It’s been like this for two days now. All other coral are fine.

A hammer got placed next to it without thinking and it got moved. If it’s stung is this too far gone? Anything I can do? 9D1EB740-57F5-4422-B813-77F202B1E183.jpeg

Doesn’t look to be dying but may be in an area with low flow and/or light
Feed 2-3x per week

Ya looks great to me too. If the mouth is open for a while, its not good, in 30 years of my 40 year old lobo, when the mouth opens its due to bad water, and I do major water changes. A healthy lobo will have little tenticles extend after lights go out and feeding. I have fed mine in the past, but find no need to feed.

wonder how one would tell the difference between lobos and acans? some are pretty close looking
acan pachyseptas are acans that look like lobos. You can tell by looking at the flesh. Also, I think you're thinking of micro lords, not acans. True acans are stuff like acanthastrea echinata, pachysepta, and rotundoflora. You can tell the difference between lords and lobos by the size of the polyps and the texture of the flesh.
