That red ringed/mouthed fungia at the top of this page is crazy. Alright, to do a little comparison, (if you don't mind asking). How much would one of those red plats on pg1 retail for?

There are a few (far and few between) LFS that do bring in some really cool stuff. But it's hard to do when they're fighting online retailers.

yeah you do, no hard corals are supposed to be shipped across the border...

When you say hard corals, isn't it just SPS? Aren't fungias considered LPS corals?

no its anything that has a skeleton, and to be honest I am not even sure about soft corals...I know zoanthids/mushrooms/etc are ok cause they aren't actually coral. Red plates are between 100 and 150 dollars. The thing about the LFS up here - they don't really ever have "brown" corals....There was one rock of clove polyps for sale for 40 bucks and this was it

It's funny the things you learn to complain about- the person living in Aspen complains about the cold, the person living in the carribean complains about the heat :)
