I heading to the LFS this morning on my way up to maintain a tank for a guy about an hour away...I thought it would be fun to bring my camera and take some pictures of my LFS up here...we sometimes get some really unique corals that don't seem to show up in the US much and I thought it might be cool for you guys to have a look - stay tuned - I will be back in a few hours.

What types of corals are they normally getting in? I love corals that are out of the realm of normality.

well I may have pump faked you guys, I just got home and the shipment did not come in....I took some pics anyhow but this is just what was left from the shipment 2 weeks ago so everything was pretty picked over unfortunately. I will upload them anyhow - but next shipment that comes in I will be sure to send some pics your way. That is the other problem with living here is shipping is iffy at best.

Well here they are....again sorry for the pump fake - I will post when the next shipment comes in

So again this is the left overs...but we get things like red plates and other crazy plates regularly, blue squamosa clams, and lot's of non-indo LPS. All of the non-indo micros and acans were sold already. We get some crazy zoos as well but those go quick too.

Based on the 1 LFS we have here, you're LFS has this area beat by MILES when you compare the quality of corals. I have never seen anything other than brown plates here. That should tell you something.

Wow that's some nice stuff! I wish I had a LFS near me! The closest one I have is fifty five miles away from me.. but the corals aren't bad.

More pics! ;)

Those are the left overs? The colors on that fungia are sweet. I'd pay top dollar for that if they were brighter. You say you get red ones in fairly commonly? Again, where is SK? Saskattton?

hey its in Canada, and the plates are actually incredibly bright - I just couldn't take awesome pictures of them...these pictures are with a flash. With all the stuff we get though, we have no access to an of the corals that are popular down in the states - like any of the ORA sps, any of the Tyree corals, garf corals, etc. If someone put in for cites permits to ship back and forth we could make out BIG setting up a website. I imagine if I had red plates for sale on a website available to the states I could sell them all day for 150 bucks...

also can you guys get blue squamosa clams? I have never even seen those until I moved up here...

here is some pictures that more show the kind of stuff we get up here, I don't remember seeing most of this stuff come in when I was back in the states

I bet you could too! Tell you what, I'll trade you some ORA corals for a red plate or two :)

Wonder if you need a Cites permit for personal use? I'm thinking not...
