I have a 90 gal tank with several tangs, wrasse, and triggers he is the only one that looks like this. I removed him this morning did a freshwater dip, then hydro plex bath. Put him in a hospital tank and added antibiotics. He is not eating. Please give me any suggestions as this is my favorite fish and don't want to lose him.

Hi Kris thanks for the response! Would that also cause the cloudy eyes?
I copied the fish medical experts, and try not to give treatment advice in most cases. Sometimes, just getting the fish into solitary will allow it to heal if it is still eating. The cloudy eyes are symptoms that I will let the fish experts discuss, to avoid confusion.

I also love chocolate tangs. This one looks pretty sad, but it looks like it may have a good prognosis if it is given proper care. GL

How long has the fish had these symptoms?

Did you see any large flukes fall off after the freshwater dip? Those often cause cloudy eyes,

I noticed a few of the spots a few days ago but was acting and eating fine so I thought maybe he scraped himself on some rock. then this morning I found him like this. After the dip I did notice some very small white dots and some larger that looked to me like possibly skin falling off

This is a skin irritation and may have produced mucus cones which may contain ich. Best treatment is coppersafe at 2.25ppm for 30 days
Other fish often show no signs but consider treating them also

I just saved my Bariene tang that had a bad case of flukes. He went from hyper breathing, eyese glazed over, fins tattered and being lethargic and surely on the brink of death. I went straight 2.5 copper power and full dose prazi, water change then metro and has made a full recovery. Its doable but hours make a big difference at this stage

That could be flukes. If so, it may actually get worse for a day or two after the dip, but then improve. Dips won’t cure flukes though - just buy you some time. You’d need to treat the main tank with prazi 3x

aggression, possible flukes, depending on behavior. I'm not sure this looks bacterial, thus I thoulgn't necessarily added it. Do you think your stocking density is a bit high>. What are your parameters. Was he or the other fish quarantined. How long has he been in the tank with the other fish.

He is the biggest one in the tank and I have had him the longest. The others are an Achillies, yellow and naso
You should give some serious thought about rehoming the Achilles, Naso and Chocolate Tangs. Your tank is to small for them. The Chocolate *may* be fine for a while by its self. The cramped quarters just causes stress on them and increases their chances of becoming ill.

I guess I should apply for a Tang Police badge. lol

Thank you for that advice however the chocolate is the biggest and the others ave very small at this time. I am planning on a larger tank in the next month or 2.
