Hi Dr.D, sorry I don’t get on here much these days… after the problems I’ve had with Whitespot I have been battling on and off.
The tank I have had to make some minor changes.
The X filter doesn’t cope with the flow rates it claims/ specified… period.
I have now diverted 60% of the flow direct to the skimmer section and closed the baffles on the xfilter totally to feed the 50 litres of siporax with a slower feed of clean cleaner water. The detritus was building up under the siporax tray and the flow too quick/ oxygen Rich which basically turned this area into a nutrient machine.
Fingers crossed nutrients will tumble.
Next issue Whitespot and temperature fluctuations/ climbing which I think the two are linked.
vectra return pumps seem to add quite a few degrees on flat out!

Update… coming up to two years now with this!
Whitespot issue has eased although not eradicated… added some small sps namely Bali slimmer and Tricolour.
No3 still high but coming down slowly (mainly due to high stock levels.
Tank seems stable now and slowly adding acr out the frag tank.
Last week I took the plunge from a update the lights from Orphek v4’s to icons!
Bit of a task but I’ve worked on these lights loads over the years… the update is to improve reliability although my v4’s didn’t have a single led burnt out.
I also prefer the colour/ wavelength of the v4’s bug hey ho.. the icons supposed to be improved fir coral growth and not my eyes!

Just re-watched the video from your shop. Really like the one piece top brace out of single sheet of glass. They did a fantastic job.

Had a very good ICP result back....looks like we are good to start to slowly add some of my SPS from the frag system.
Fine tuned the light layout and added a aluminium track to slide lights on and off, I took one light down so now only run 6 lights with the new Icon upgrade, gives me about 13/4" (45mm) between lights for better air flow and tbh no different to the 7 I had before!
No3 still a bit higher than id like but slowly falling....
