Looking for a full spectrum refugium light

Has anyone tried one of the hygger full spectrum lights in a refugium? Hoping someone has experience and can chime in. Looking for a full spectrum option and I found this on Amazon.

I use an Amazon grow light that grows chaeto and red ogo and other algae wonderfully. Seems any full spectrum grow light works

That is a weak light if you are interested in nutrient export with macro algae. Anything between 5K-10K color spectrum. When you spec your light look for PAR or luminous numbers, they don’t lie.

PS: How big is your refugium? Better describe the area that grows macro algae.

I am using a hygger full spectrum light on my refugium of similar wattage and it’s working great to grow chaeto.

I don't disagree it's lower wattage but the innovative marine and popular tunze chaeto lights are even lower.

When I operated a macro algae refugium I used PAR38 lamps at 5000 color spectrum and 11W each. The bulb was $5 and damp proof pigtail was $4. Put as many as you can fit.

My refugium is 12x16.5 with 11"depth of water. About 10 gallons.

If that whole area is available, I would use two lamps to maximize nutrient export. If you just want a refugium to grow pods then one lamp is enough.

I've been running the Hygger Freshwater Full spectrum 22w over my refugium since 2/23. My fuge measures 20"x20"x15" and the fixture is hanging about 12" above the water line. All of my macros do great under it, and I have both reds and greens. Very pleased with it.

I received mine 12" a few days ago. At first the color combination/options don't make much sense for a saltwater light. I'm not sure I will have the time to see any results as the suctions cups are weak and the device floats. Should have been designed to hold itself down.
