At the moment only dosing AFR, but may need more trace elements in the near future. I don't want to spend $150 for just one pump, and getting a 4 head pump allows expansion if needed. I was looking at the Simplicity Dosing pump, seems ok, budget friendly. there were some reviews stating it lost settings if power was cycled. Just a note, I was going to stay away from Jebao pumps. Any recommendations ?

I think @Mschmidt switched to Simplicity after his Jebao run away alk incident.

@JoJosReef do you use Simplicity?

Have one. Haven't set it up yet. Just lazy about digging out silicone in the fridge to replace the tubing/wiring

That one should work. I used a cheaper one when I was dosing kalk that worked great and allowed 1 second adjustments.
https://a.co/d/e3G4sB5That said I bought two kamoer pumps an f1 and x1 from AliExpress at a very good price of your into that. I used them for 2 part and they worked good.
Personally I would prefer a doser with built-in control for AFR. I have to tweak my dosage every once in a while. For instance today I reduced it by 3ml a day. That would be a hassle, at least for me to reduce small amounts like that with a timer and the brs pump. I'm using one head of a reefdose 2 for my AFR .

Coralvue has Kamoer X1 pro T for $85, possibly the best deal out there right now. Could be used for continuous duty for kalk and CaRx in case you’d wanna switch from AFR.

They also have a 25% off sale right now with code “MG25” making it $61

I was just gonna say, Kamoer is being discussed in one of the build threads I hang out in.

Seriously love my kamoers. Coralvue has the 4 head on clearance and aliexpress has a 5 head. The app is a bit tricky but once you set it it's been perfect. I also have the old skool Bluetooth singles as well.

I did a lot of research and I would go either for the Kamoer X1 Pro V2 or Simplicity. Like many will say, dose only what you need and AFR contains pretty much everything and you only need one pump.

Do you feel like you will need to dose these products in the future ?
-Nitrate, Phosphate ? (Can be fixed by feeding more)

-Trace elements ? (AFR contains many already)

-Phyto (Supplemental feeding which can be done by hand)

don't want single head dosing pump, the 4 head with discount is $187.00, but i think I will go with the simplicity

For a $40 dollar difference Kamoer X4 would have much better dosing heads and Wi-Fi / app control. The dosing heads on simplicity look like those on older generation Jebaos (maybe something similar to Kamoer NKP which is about $4 each on Amazon)

I’ve admittedly never used a simplicity brand pump, but I have used Kamoer and they make quality pumps. I don’t know if the F4 uses stepper motors but I’d be willing to bet that even if it doesn’t the kamoer is still a better doser for not too much more money. I agree with @pooootiqe that for the extra $40 I’d definitely go with the kamoer over simplicity.

I have 4 of these brs 1.1ml per min pumps. I time off apex, but your solution works too.
Make sure to calibrate the pump once, run for 10 minutes and measure output then divide by 10. None of my pumps is 1.1ml, or even 1.5mlper mjn, but are very consistent.
