Looking for a unique background idea.

Hey,
I'm looking for pictures/ideas to use on my new aquarium background. I'm ok with just flat black vac rounds but am wondering if there are any safe ways to get a 3-d type look or if there is any self adhesive backgrounds that people have used that are more unique than just black??? Anyone??

Some people have had success making 3D backgrounds out of pond foam (google: pond foam aquarium background) and you should see some ideas.

Would this be reef safe though?? I'm iffy about putting foam in my water. Lol
