I'm wondering if there are cheaper Alien Hands Sinularia. Biota has it but it's $80 plus shipping.

It's a Green Sinulara, I see it advertised at most online vendors.
Soft corals are the new popular Montipora.
Prices are ridiculous for a coral once considered invasive.

I'm very picky about my corals. I generally don't let extremely fast growing (GSP, Kenya tree, zoas etc.) in my tank because I don't want to have to battle it later on. Are these invasive? I like the color of this guy. If he's invasion I'm not interested.

My experience with Sinularia is I had to trim back branches and remove portions of branches to allow the growth of other soft corals.

I'm probably not going to get it. Invasive is not what I'm after. Swaying and looking really cool, and maybe trading a few frags for other things I want at my LFS that's my goal.

I believe that sinularia have the same growth rate as Kenya trees, but my sinularia is generally slow growing

that pic is likely very well photoshopped with perfect lighting etc. not what you will ever see in your tank. at least that is my guess. plus the "fancy" name to distract from it just being green sinularia

In my opinion - No, it is not at all invasive or fast growing like those others. Its not like a Kenya tree. You may get a few baby frags over time.

I really really like Neon/Green Sinularia. It's definitely not as invasive as Kenya Tree.
On a designated rock area the coral would work well in a softy system or lower par area.

I wouldn't consider it invasive at all.
Grow a monster size colony of that sinularia, and everything else can get out of it's way.
