Looking for an Id in this tang

Any closer more clear pictures of the little guy in question? The yellow pectoral fins are making me think you're right

Hard to tell from your pic but all I could find was a yellow tailed black tang. Not sure if it's correct though since yours only has yellow fins.

Hard to tell with the pic being so blurry, but it looks to be a type of Acanthurus, not a Zebrasoma.....so not a black tang if so.

Yes sorry it’s 100 precent not a black tang. It’s mouth is shaped more like acanthurus or even the bristle tooth tang family. Not the zebrasoma

Look at the mouth and beak of your yellow tang. Black tang is same species so they have the same mouth structure

Here's a bit better pic

Based on that pic it’s 100% not a black tang, it is in fact an Acanthurus species, my best guess with the pic still blurry is Acanthurus Maculiceps. If that ends up being what it is, it’s a pretty fish but doesn’t cost nearly as much as a black tang so hopefully you didn’t overpay too badly or if so can get refunded.

$60 and a word of caution - They get Very large quickly ( well over a foot long and aggressive in behavior and feeding). My dussomieri grew from 3" to 9" in under a year. Yellowfin is the same.
I believe the other name given to this tang is goldrim.
