I am looking to buy a Dasyatis kuhlii or Diamond Blue Spot ray, they look like this in case someone knows them by another name.

I had one in the fall, however I had to go out of town in an emergency for a funeral and it got down to 40degrees in Louisiana and I didn't have my house heater on.

If anyone knows where I can find another i would love it, I got this one from blue zoo, but they don't have them anymore right now.
file.php

Thanks!

As I understand it those are illegal to have in the United States. It could be another type of blue spotted ray I am thinkin gof.

No, that is definately NOt what I am looking for, that is a round blue spot as it says in the article "Blue Spot Stingray (Taeniura lumma) Dasyatidea". They are not as rare, and are harder to get to eat.

Glad to see you're going for the right one kfennell, the Dasyatis kuhlii.

Do you have any good LFS you trust in the area? Depending on their connections, these guys show up on lists pretty frequently. If not, I would get ahold of Divers Den to see what they have to say.

Do you have anything in place now in case the power goes out again?

Thanks

Unfortunately there are no lfs in this part of the world worth ordering this from.

As for the heater it wasn't a power outage. We don't have them here it was just the first time since I had my tank set up that the outside temp got below 50 and since I have external plumbing I did not have enough heaters to keep up. I have since insulated the plumbing and added 1kw of heaters. It easily stays above 78 down to 30 degrees outside.
