Anyone know where I can get a Caribbean octopus 5 to 10 in?

Local store Gerber tropical hasn't had any in months and everything online shows none available

I set up a tank specifically to get one and can't find one. I'm in Ohio. Don't know if I want to have it shipped. Kind of iffy about shipping

What do you think?

I would not keep an octopus. They are smarter than most registered voters and they have a very short life span. I would not want to keep it for awhile and then have to bury it.

I would take the unavailability as a sign and get something else.
That is what I think. Hth.

Pete’s aquariums and fish.com has Caribbean octopus for sale right now…octopus are fun little creatures to keep, I had one for a little while before I got seahorses. He was a cool little guy, his name was Dylan….tankstop.com has some octopus, (that’s where I got mine) but they are all on the smaller side I believe….But, @KrisReef is right, they do unfortunately have short lifespans. And they can escape from aquariums, I personally never had a problem with mine escaping…

This was my lil octopus

This.

Please choose another animal. They are super cool but they are also WAY smarter than any other aquarium species we keep and deserve better than small tanks.
