I'm not sure whatever happened to the 4" sock holders that came with my JBJ 65 RFP, but I have a project in the planning stages and, of course, now I need them. 😄

I emailed JBJ a few times over the last few weeks to see about getting a pair of replacements, but the messages have gone unanswered. So... does anyone know of a place that might sell them?

Again, I'm looking for the black plastic 4" filter sock holders. I don't need the socks. Just the tray part (pictured below).

you can probably find something simple aftermarket (like this: https://fishybizness.com/products/parts-filter-sock-holder), or even make your own from a sheet of acrylic and a 4" hole saw if JBJ isn't responsive.

Yeah. I thought about something like that. If I had a 3D printer, I could probably whip up exactly what I need pretty easily too. Just thought it might be easier to get some OEM ones since they've already done the hard work. 😆

Not sure if you are still looking for these, but I'll have them available very soon. Literally working on it today. This is not the finalized design, but Im close to finishing.

Oooo. Is that your own design, or is it just a "factory replacement"? I would be interested in them, or the STL file(s) at least, for sure.

I am actually interested in modding them a bit to get some filter rollers in there.

It's my design. I got ahold of an original and I am replicating them minus the flimsy handle. What changes would be needed to the original design to fit the filter rollers? Square hole?

No. The rollers have plates to fit right in a standard 4" sock hole.

How much gap is there between the back of the holder and the back glass once the holder is in place in the tank? Is there any room to make the holder a bit wider (front to back) and then offset the hole toward the back a little? Or would that make it too tight to get in and out?

I dont actually have the JBJ tank here to test, but I'm finished with the design and about to ship it back to the guy who loaned me the original. I can ask him once he has them if there is room for that. The ID of the hole is 98mm(3 7/8ths), the ID of the lip recess is 4" or 102mm. It could easily be made so the hole is 4" all done. Sorry, I forget to check R2R often as Im not that active here.

Would you mind sharing/selling the STL? I have one of the rollers here and, obviously, a JBJ AiO tank. I could print the adapter and see if/how it all fits.
