Looking to make reef friends in CT

Hey guys my name is ryan and I literally have no one around me into this hobby , I would love to make friends in the area , I’m in Danbury , but if you guys have the same passion I do , I don’t mind the drive , to see other tanks or help or just be around other people in the hobby , I hope to make some friends on here he are some of my tanks !

Hey ! , my reefer 250 was up for 2 years until the micro burst in 2020 made me loose power for 9 days and I lost everything that hurt hard , my Red Sea nano it’s the 28 with the little sump on the bottom , has been up for 7 months (I’m using most my reefer 250 equipment on it ) I still have the reefer 250 cleaned and stored maybe one day I’ll set that up again , the little 170 has been a fun challenge trying to stay on top of 15 Acro /sps frags lol but it’s taught me discipline and attentiveness for sure

What's your local fish story? We can try and do an event out that way. Great way to meet people.

We don’t have a good lfs here at all sadly , I would go to aqua dreams , or I get my corals from pieces of the ocean in NY , what LFS do you guys use ? I really don’t know any around here .

Yes I know it and like the guys there a lot , I was just wondering if I’m missing a store that was much closer to me , I thought maybe that’s where I could start building some friendships and then I thought wait let me see if this fourm has a area for that and here we are lol

Hey there Ryan! I'm in Ridgefield! There are a few people in the area for sure - we just have to find them and get them to socialize :D

As for pet stores, Ridgfield Pet has frozen Hikari and some other small things for saltwater (no fish). Life Aquatic in New Canaan is probably your closest store.

I don't buy fish locally anymore since I've decided to just get QTed animals now, but in a pinch, the two Petcos around you will do (one in the mall, the other in Brookfield) :)

Wow that’s awesome I’m right off exit1 over on saw mill road !! Would be cool to talk tank , my girlfriend works in new cannan and showed me that store that’s where I got my latest reefer !

Hey I am in Newington and just started up a 200 gallon back in September. Usually go to Blakes or Wet pets but I'm full on livestock for the time being.

Meant to be at the CTARS meeting last week at aqua dreams but got held up.

I appreciate all the recommendations, I was just wondering if was missing a shop like wwc or tsa or poto somewhere , Like a insane shop you only see online , poto seems to be the closest crazy Acro sps shop around with like hardcore knowledge
