Nicest guy in the world will talk to you for hours and if you don’t buy anything he doesn’t mind but yea he’s got major money accounts all over with the type of people that don’t check the bill at the end of the job so it’s hard for us small guys to relate

Hey guys my name is ryan and I literally have no one around me into this hobby , I would love to make friends in the area , I’m in Danbury , but if you guys have the same passion I do , I don’t mind the drive , to see other tanks or help or just be around other people in the hobby , I hope to make some friends on here he are some of my tanks !

I’m in Bloomfield, so we aren’t too far apart. I’ve kept quite a few tanks over the years, though I’ve been out of the game for a while now. Seeing your setup and that unmistakable "itch" to get back into reefing is definitely hitting me hard!
Since you're looking for local connections, you've picked a great time to jump in. There are some solid groups in our area where you can meet other "addicts":

• CTARS (Connecticut Area Reef Society): (you found this one already, lol) This is one of the biggest local clubs for marine hobbyists. They’re very welcoming to newcomers and seasoned pros alike.
• Frag Farmers Market (FFM)
  : Mark your calendar for March 7, 2026. It’s held in Storrs and is one of the largest single-day coral shows in the country—perfect for meeting people and seeing some insane tanks.
• Danbury Area Aquarium Society (DAAS): Since you’re in Danbury, this local club is right in your backyard for meeting nearby hobbyists.
• Connecticut Saltwater & Reef Addicts: A very active Facebook group for trading info and equipment in the New England area.

I'd definitely be up for a drive to check out your setups sometime once I get my own glass box back up and running. Looking forward to seeing more of your progress!
