Hello all,

I have acro's die today .the skin peeled right off the acro's . It didn't start from the bottom like in RTN or STN but from the polyps first then all goes to hell after. The first signs of stress were the acro tips started being exposed and some of them got algae on them!. I dipped the corals and some critters came out. Not sure what they were ( video attached) but they were hiding in the acro's. Now Walt Disney and Rainbow Asd and other literally peeling off I can not do anything about it!!!!!

Sad day.

If anyone know what those critters are that would be very much appreciated. I'm just trying to find the root cause.

Any ideas what this could be??

Sorry to hear your loss! Hard to say from the video but could be some kind of pod or planula. A lot more information about your system and frags would be helpful. I'd be guessing but I'd suspect some kind of microbial issue.

Sorry to hear it. Are the pictures of the corals from before this happened?
Picture are after. I fragged what I could to try to save some corals but some of them are long gone. Walt Disney on the far right had it skin peeled completely. Punch of them I just threw away cuz they were far gone!!!

Ok, I only ask because many of the corals in the pictures are not doing well but not dead.
