Lost my furry friend.

A week ago I had to say goodbye to my loyal companion of 8 years. Trin was a beautiful loyal soul, she had her flaws and any rescue dog that was abused for 2 yrs will have them. We saved her from the pound when she was just 2 yrs old, trin had a great life for the next 8 yrs. She was my companion she loved my wife to but had a soft spot for me. Maybe that's because I took her home from the pound. Unfortunately life had plans for her and she was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer early this year, the vet advised against any treatment so we just looked after until it became too much for her, that was last weekend. My beautiful girl has gone to the big green field in the sky.

So sorry for your loss, we lost our pound pup in December 2015 from cancer also. It's never easy saying goodbye, even when you know it is the right thing to do.

I feel your pain. Words can never heal the loss of a family member. At least she is pain free now and playing in the big green fields smiling down on you. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Ive just lost two within two weeks of each other not too long ago. If you ever wonder how the universe is watching, just look into the eyes of a dog. I'm glad you gave her comfort and care after her rocky start. The way it sounds, she's the one who rescued you.

To me, they've helped make us who we are. So it would only seem logical for us to keep them from suffering as much as possible.

You have my sympathies, and respect.

Not at this stage, we still have another dog who was a rescue dog as well, we got her from the owner as the pound were going to confiscate her because he couldn't look after her.

So sorry sorry for you loss. It's clear from the picture that you and your family gave her the best life possible when you rescued her. It's never easy losing a pet. My two are getting older, and it's something I know is coming and I dread every day. Y'all are in my thoughts during this difficult time.
