Welcome! I had a planted tank for a number of years before making the leap to reefing. Significantly more challenging and expensive, but totally worth it!
Welcome to R2R! I love planted freshwater. Reefs are only a slightly different beast. There's salt in the water and the plants are actually animals...lol. But if you can do a planted tank you can do a reef no problem.
