65G mixed reef system thats been running for 2 years. I’m not chasing numbers and all my other parameters are normal and coral/fish are fine just wondering if there’s any correlation.

I’ve been playing with the idea of starting a 7G sexy shrimp tank so I tossed about 5lb of dry rock in my sump to seed. Ever since then my pH is barely peaking 8.1 when before that it was over 8.3 everyday

Any ideas?

Did alk drop? Are calcium carbonate can act as a site for precipitation of calcium carbonate, which will lower pH
