I'm curious what they said it was. If anyone suggested Symphyllia then that's technically correct and incorrect as the term is used to describe certain Lobophyllia with a distinct growth pattern. However Symphyllia, once classified as a distinct genus has now been grouped together under Lobophyllia. This is where the gray areas of coral taxonomy comes into play as not all experts agree on the validity of certain genera pending genetic analysis. Hope that helps a bit.
