You get to be a carpenter, plumber, electrician, chemist, animal husbandry, and mechanic. So many disciplines you get to experience as you strive to keep the animals you love alive and thriving.
watching everything in the tank grow as time passes by. the "ilimited" informantion and the hrs upon hrs ive spent reading trying to figure out my set up.
Watching the coral grow and water change/cleaning the tank is zen for me I get up early, make coffee open the windows listen to the birds while I escape. The reward is seeing my animals happy and thriving

The community it creates. Here, or at home, friends will ask about the fish
I live in the midwest so being able to replicate a small part of the ocean is a great feeling and an enjoyable way to relax.
