Any thoughts on adding 6-8 lyretail anthias to 8 chromis already in a 6ft/125g tank?

Chromis Vidris or light blue. They get along mostly fine. I think 8 are enough to spread the aggression out. They can be a little rough on one another but I keep them pretty well fed. The oldest have been there for a few years and the "newer" ones several months.

How do you think they would mix with the Lyretail Anthias?

They mix, I’ve had them together before, that is until the chromis self destruct
Yeah, they can be pretty feisty. They remind me of cichlids. I've been feeding heavy with an auto feeder and they seem ok.

I don’t quite have that many, but I have 2 Anthias and 3 Chromis in a 4’ and they get along just fine.
Thanks. I really like the orange/reds they bring in. I will try them again someday. Do you use any kind of auto feeder? I've found that helps with the chromis.

I had 6 chromis in a 260g. Now just over two years later, I'm down to 2. Never saw any aggression between them or anything. They just slowly disappeared one by one over time. Usually it would start out with noticing one was isolated from the rest of the group and then a day or two later, it was gone.

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
