I am starting up a new nano reef. Few weeks in just cycled. Minimum diatoms. I have a few cromie no coral yet. Will be adding a Duncan soon and a few non aggressive LPS as well as a few clowns clean-up , all the norm.
But , this time I want to include some macro algae .What is the least greedy to my calcium and alkaline? I want to enhance oxygen and get the benifits with the least amount of cons
:) not asking for much lol
Any suggestions ?
Thanks:)

Growing out of hand in my nano, and I don't dose anything, and hardly ever change water. Just trim every now and then. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I am really aiming to not dose anything or as little as possible . My last round of this addiction , lol I found once I started dosing, you can’t stop. Then, you are dosing more things. I am attempting to create a simple tank for now. And just do frequent water changes when needed and because the tank is only 20 gallons , water changes are easy.
