Either of the 100mm would be great. I have the 100mm L and can't complain.

I agree with the Canon 100mm Macro. It's an exceptional lens, whether you get the newer L series OR the old school 100mm Macro. The main difference, between the 2, is the IS, which isn't really needed, in Macro Photography. Both will also double as excellent portraiture lenses.
